Standard Chartered & Clearstream Launch Vestima Digital Pilot

Standard Chartered Bank has joined forces with Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade services provider, to pilot Vestima Digital — a cutting-edge solution designed to streamline private market fund distribution.

So, this collaboration strengthens the long-standing partnership between Standard Chartered and Clearstream, emphasizing their mutual focus on digital innovation and operational efficiency in fund servicing.

Vestima Digital simplifies the traditionally complex landscape of private market fund operations by digitizing key processes such as fundraising, capital call management, and asset servicing. Through automated data exchange with back-end systems, the platform enables straight-through processing (STP), enhancing transparency, traceability, and efficiency across the fund distribution chain — from general partners to end investors.

Standard Chartered and Clearstream Launch Vestima Digital Pilot

With this pilot, Standard Chartered’s clients will gain access to a wide range of private market products via Clearstream’s global fund network. A newly introduced account model allows for multiple investor-level allocations to be managed under a single Clearstream custody account, significantly reducing administrative burdens. Additionally, Vestima Digital provides regular reporting, asset servicing updates, and anonymized investor insights to help the bank better analyze investor behavior and market trends.

Powered by Clearstream’s new FundsDLT technology and fully integrated with its Vestima platform, Vestima Digital merges established market infrastructure with the agility of next-generation digital tools. The initiative aims to digitize manual processes, reduce operational risk, and enhance scalability across the private fund ecosystem.
