DB Investing has introduced MT5 AI Assistant version 1.0, marking the broker’s first in-house artificial intelligence project aimed at helping traders integrate AI tools directly into their MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading environment. The new solution enables clients to connect popular AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or other compatible AI services, using their own API keys.
The launch reflects the growing adoption of artificial intelligence among retail traders, many of whom already use AI to research markets, interpret economic news, and generate trading ideas. By embedding AI capabilities within MT5, DB Investing aims to eliminate the need for traders to switch between multiple applications during market analysis.
DB Investing MT5 AI Assistant to Bring AI-Powered Analysis
The MT5 AI Assistant can access live trading account information such as account balance, equity, margin levels, open positions, and current market prices. It combines this data with the trader’s prompt before sending the request to the selected AI provider. The AI can then generate market commentary, identify potential trading opportunities, provide risk assessments, and prepare structured trading instructions.
Importantly, the platform does not execute trades automatically. Every suggested order requires manual review and explicit confirmation from the trader, ensuring users retain complete control over all trading decisions.
DB Investing has also focused on simplifying AI integration for retail traders. Instead of requiring Python programming, server configuration, or third-party software bridges, the Assistant offers a straightforward installation process. Users simply install the plugin, connect it to MetaTrader 5, select their preferred AI provider, add their API key, and begin interacting with their trading account.
Security and flexibility are central to the new offering. Traders can use API keys from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Perplexity, allowing them to choose their preferred AI model. API credentials remain stored locally within the MT5 environment, while MT5 login details are not shared with AI providers. All communications are transmitted through secure HTTPS connections.
The Assistant also supports trader-defined safeguards, including maximum trade volume limits for AI-prepared orders. According to CEO Gennaro Lanza, the release is only the beginning of DB Investing’s broader AI strategy, with additional projects planned across trading, education, client support, risk management, and partner services. The MT5 AI Assistant is currently available for Windows users with live or demo MetaTrader 5 accounts.
