eToro to Begin Gradual Migration to New App From October 4

eToro has announced that it will begin gradually migrating clients to its new app from October 4, introducing faster performance, expanded asset information, advanced charting and more proactive AI features.

The migration will take place automatically over several weeks. eToro said clients will not need to transfer or recreate anything, with existing accounts, login credentials and portfolios remaining unchanged. The upgrade will instead focus on the way users interact with the platform.

One of the headline changes is performance. According to eToro, the new app is five times faster than the current version, potentially making it quicker for users to check positions, review assets and execute trades.

The redesigned platform also places greater emphasis on Tori, eToro’s AI agent. Rather than requiring users to initiate every interaction, Tori will proactively surface insights connected to assets users hold or follow. These can include movements in portfolio positions, developments involving watchlist assets and other relevant market context.

Users will still be able to ask Tori questions directly, but eToro said the AI assistant is now ready to identify potentially relevant information without waiting for a prompt.

The app also introduces adjustable views for portfolio and watchlist pages. Users seeking a straightforward overview can retain the default presentation, while those wanting more information can activate advanced modes featuring denser layouts and additional data.

Other changes include clearer portfolio views, richer asset pages and advanced charts designed to provide more detailed market information within the application.

For users interested in testing the redesign ahead of the migration, early access is currently available. During this period, the new application will temporarily appear under the name “eToro AI” alongside the existing eToro app.

eToro has advised clients not to delete their current application during early access, as both versions can be used during the transition. The temporary “eToro AI” app will eventually be retired once a client’s existing app has been upgraded.

The company said the old app will ultimately be out, leaving clients with the redesigned eToro experience while retaining their existing accounts and portfolios.
