FxPro has expanded its trading offering with the launch of dedicated Weekend instruments, allowing eligible clients to trade selected metals, energies and indices outside traditional weekday market hours.

The new service is going to give traders access to markets during the weekend, when political announcements, geopolitical developments and changes in market sentiment can emerge before the regular trading week resumes. Rather than waiting for markets to reopen on Monday, clients can use the new instruments to manage exposure and respond to developments as they occur.

Weekend Trading is available on the FxPro Standard MT5 account across five dedicated instruments: GOLD365 for gold, SILVER365 for silver, WTI365 for WTI crude oil, NAT.GAS365 for natural gas and NDX365for the Nasdaq.

The instruments cover several heavily monitored markets and provide an alternative way for traders to maintain positions during the normally inactive weekend period.

According to FxPro, clients can use the instruments to react to breaking news, position ahead of the new trading week and manage market exposure without waiting for the traditional Monday opening session. The broker also states that traders can open an unlimited number of weekend positions.

Trading is available from Friday at 21:05 GMT until Sunday at 21:58 GMT. Once the corresponding underlying market reopens, open weekend positions are automatically available to the relevant weekday instrument. This is going to provide continuity between weekend and regular weekday trading.

The new instruments are accessible through the MetaTrader 5 platform suite and FxPro App, allowing clients to monitor and manage their weekend positions across the broker’s supported platforms.

Weekend Trading could be particularly relevant for traders who actively monitor geopolitical and macroeconomic developments outside standard market hours. However, weekend instruments also operate when liquidity conditions and price formation differ from those of the underlying weekday markets, making the trading conditions an important consideration for clients.

FxPro noted that Weekend Trading is available only to clients in certain jurisdictions, meaning availability may vary depending on a client’s location and account eligibility.
