StoneX Group has expanded its physical commodities business through the acquisition of Advanced Marketing Group, LLC (AMG), a merchandiser of feed ingredients, pet food ingredients and organic fertilizer.

The transaction will see AMG integrated into StoneX Supply & Trading’s existing feed ingredients operations, strengthening the group’s presence across the North American agricultural and commodities markets.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Wilsonville, Oregon, AMG specializes in trading animal protein-based feed ingredients and manufacturing organic fertilizers. Its customers include pet-food manufacturers, dairy and poultry producers, feed mills, feedlots and fertilizer brands.

AMG employs approximately 20 trading and operations professionals across Oregon, Kansas, Texas and Virginia, as well as Canada. The company also operates through a network of trans-load and storage locations supporting its supply and distribution activities.

For StoneX, the acquisition adds animal-based protein products to its existing feed ingredients platform while expanding its customer base and geographic coverage. The company said the deal will also create opportunities to collaborate across its broader business units and increase the range of feed and ingredient requirements it can serve.

Brent Grecian, CEO of StoneX Supply & Trading, said AMG brings an established business with supplier relationships and approved-supplier status that would be difficult to replicate. He added that the acquisition expands StoneX’s physical commodities capabilities into animal protein and pet-food ingredients.

For AMG, joining StoneX provides access to additional capital, risk-management infrastructure and global market reach. Owners Ted Skinner and Pete Schoonveld said the transaction gives the company the resources and infrastructure needed to pursue growth opportunities that would have been difficult to achieve independently.

The acquisition marks another step in StoneX’s strategy of broadening its physical commodities capabilities. By combining AMG’s specialized feed-ingredient expertise and North American network with StoneX’s financial resources and global platform, the enlarged business is positioned to serve a wider range of customers and suppliers across the feed, pet food and fertilizer markets.
